corruption of politics

Is there a gallery where I can look at all of the past MAC postcards, or just the promo pictures for their older collections? Or ALTERNATIVELY, where do you get your crazy, haute-couture style ideas? I just want to look at good pictures of crazy make-up, basically.

Also, if I wanted to frost someoneapos;s eyebrows/eyelashes (so they looked WHITE) how would I do that? Iapos;m having an awfully hard time finding white mascara, but even then, Iapos;d want it to look clumpy and not just white... Does anyone know what Iapos;m talking about?

Thanks for your help

Once youapos;ve been tagged, you have (well, are supposed to, most of you will probably ignore this (guilt trip, guilt trip)) to write a blog with 11 random facts or habits about yourself. At the end, choose 11 people to be tagged and why you picked them. Donapos;t forget to leave those people a comment with "Tag, Youapos;re It" and "Please Read My Blog". You canapos;t tag the person who tagged you, so when you are done, let me know you have posted your blog so I can read your answers.

1. My first anime was outlaw star
2. People use to refer to me as a gnome (hey it was that or troll)
3. I have hazel eyes

4. I feel too much pressure from people when the like me so i start acting to please instead of being myself.

5. I donapos;t dream often, but when i do its never pleasant. I donapos;t like dreams

6. I like making people smile when they donapos;t expect to, just doing thoughtful things or picking out the perfect present, though i hate taking recognition for it (iapos;ve never understood that).

7. I hate cell phones.

8. I donapos;t like talking to people because its very hard for me to form words physically or i donapos;t know the word i was going to say.
9. I like the songs in scooby-do cartoons.
10. I consider myself an optimist (laugh i know you will) and a hopeless romantic.
11. I really like to put on colorful make up. If i could do a drag queen up, i would die of happiness.

there, 11 things i donapos;t think people know about me. I tried to make this list about positive things, one or two negative things popped in though.

i canapos;t figure out how to track a package on UPS. And i really want to know if it got there, cozapos; i still have time to resend the application it it didnapos;t. I suppose i will have to go back to the store then. *sigh*

Iapos;m cranky. It would appear that Ihave a creeper magnet in my head that Iam just now aware of.
Last night everything was going peacefully. I was working on my paper, reading a good book, playing with our puppies, just chilling. Then I checked my Facebook. He found me. The Ex.
A brief history:Itapos;s been 7 months since Idumped him and after countless pleading messages and wall posts Ifinally had to block him from Facebook andMyspace. Then the text messages and phone calls began. At first they were begging me to reconsider. They turned mean very quickly. He accused me of giving him an STD, cheating on him, sleeping around, being a whore and countless other things. After a few weeks of ignoring him he went away. Then in the summer he had his new girl friend call me and say things like, "whore"and then hang up. After a while that stopped too. Then inSeptember it began again with some of his friends texting and saying they saw my number on a bathroom wall and knew Iwas a slut and could we meet up later? So I changed my phone number. Ihadnapos;t heard from him in a few weeks (thank GOD) until last night.
My Facebook inbox said Ihad one unread message. From him. How the fuck did he find me? The only logical answer is that he deleted his account (thereby taking himself off my block list)and then made a new account and started harassing me. My solution? Iblocked him again.
Then there is Damon. Iwas sitting on the empty bus with my "fuck off"headphones on. Damon insisted on sitting next to me and bombarding me with questions. I was polite and answered as vaugely as I could. He was getting pretty damn personal. Then he asked for my number. Nice girl that Iam, I gave it to him. BIGmistake. He called me every day asking to go to lunch. Finally Iinvited him to hang out at my place with some other people. He came 30 minutes earlier thanIsaid, Iwasnapos;t even home He left early to. Then called me at 1 in the morning to "hang out". Yeah...bootycall is more like it. Damon is SOfar from my type itapos;s not funny. Heapos;s short and round and a freshman. No thanks. Anyway, he texted me a week later. "What are you doing tonight?" Not wanting to let him down too hard Ireplied, "dinner and a movie." Most normal guys would assume that I was going on a date and wouldnapos;t press the question. Not Damon. He asks, "oh cool can I come" Ummm NO. Itold him it wasa date, even though I was just going with friends. Last night,Damon calls me to ask a million and one questions about my "date". Did you have fun? Are you going out again? Are you a couple now? UGGGHH. Iwanted to hit him through the phone. Iapos;ve only spoken to the guy twice and now he is prying into my made up personal life? Loser.
FInally there is Eric. Eric is desperate for attention. Any attention. He calls me last night at 11:30pm. Ididnapos;t answer the first time because Iwas asleep. The second time the ringing woke me up and Ihit ignore. Then he texted me, "hey wut r u doin". ITapos;S MIDNIGHT (on a Wednesday)WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK Iapos;M DOING???
Ileave my phone on so someone can call me incase they are bleeding out the eyeballs or maybe being attacked by zombies, not so you can harass me about "what Iapos;m doing"
The End.

I havent decided what this journal entry is about. But iapos;m just going to write and try to keep it all in a line in my head. Iapos;ve been concerned lately because it seems like iapos;m not interesting to myself anymore. So i canapos;t possibly project some kind of awesomeness on the phone towards James. And iapos;ve never been so scared to lose someone before. Ever. I mean, maybe i have been but i just canapos;t remember it because iapos;m a forgive and forget kind of person. Unless i dont forgive. Or that person was a total douche. I dont know. But either way, i just feel like a super failure. And what adds to the fact is that the other night, James and i were discussing stuff and he told me that he was probably going to end up breaking my heart.

i fucking hate it when people say stuff like that. Its like, "oh hi, yeah, donapos;t bother loving me anymore, iapos;ll probably just dump you eventually". You know what that does to someone like me?

iapos;m not as tough as i seem. Its all this big charade, and sometimes saying stuff like that really really makes me check out, emotionally speaking. And its all in some grand effort not to let my heart break.

even though heapos;s worth every heartache. I just dont know how it would techinically be possible to express that to him. Sometimes i just donapos;t know how to tell him.

and what the hell is up with me and long distance relationships. I have no problem with them, the guys are trustworthy, thank god. But why am i always in one? iapos;m half scared that this relationship could go down a side road and end up very Ruben and I. And what the hell... Why is there such terrible reputations with long distance relationships? why is it automatically deduced that someone in a long distance relationship will automatically stray. Or lose interest? that happens in normal relationships too.... Right?

i dont know. Iapos;m probably being paranoid.

however, iapos;m going to sleep because the room is spinning and i feel really really light headed, which iapos;m guessing is not good.

thank goodness i totally memorized this stupid keyboard in 7th grade. <3

i have three midterms tomorrow and iapos;ve only really studied for two. archaeology, roman history and italian. although, technically, the italian thing isnapos;t a midterm, itapos;s a composition. iapos;m feeling increasingly depressed about the roman history midterm, because heapos;s so bloody detail-oriented. thatapos;s not how i roll with history. i do big-picture history, where you make it a story, and make it interesting. it doesnapos;t help you understand it any better to get bogged down in trivial little details and irrelevant names, just because those particular people happen to have existed at around the same time. for history to be effective, you have to keep all the people you introduce linked in with the events youapos;re discussing, otherwise you get a class full of students sitting there going "who the hell is that and why do i care?". memorizing the family tree will not help you understand the julio-claudians any better. whatever.

got some books from the library today, so as soon as i get done with midterms this week i can dive into my research papers. yay.

back to work, i guess...

Grab the nearest book.
* Open the book to page 56.
* Find the fifth sentence.
* Post the text of the next two to five sentences in your journal along with these instructions.
* Donapos;t dig for your favourite book, the cool book, or the intellectual one: pick the CLOSEST.

He flung himself from the bed and slapped his hand over the crack through which the mist had entered. It was easy to plug the crack with fat from his lamp, easy to light the lamp with a spill flamed at the hearth. While the little light steadied, he peered at the place where the mist had been.

But it was gone and in itapos;s place, a woman stood, and she was no ruddy village maid. Her flesh was so pale it seemed translucent; her hair was a cloud of darkness, and she gazed at him with liquid, knowing eyes. The fisherman put out the light.
